After much contemplation my five year old ER6 is going to stay for I see no concrete reason to change as long as it can provide for my riding needs. I've fitted a 19 inch front wheel recently to improve its capability to ride offroad. The first adv ride of the year is to see the effect of the improvement made.
I take of from my house and take the old route to Tasik Kundang for a look and see after a very long while,as expected the edge of the lake is converted into a housing estate.Nothing to see and I proceed to Serendah waterfall via Rawang. I plan to ride the offroad sector beyond the waterfall but it has been cemented,again another big dissapointment.As far a the bike goes so far?I like it but I've have yet to test its real offroad handling,so far its road manner provides me confidence despite old tires still on the rims.
The return sector is Serendah to Ijok via Batu Arang. The snakey road brings out the real character of the bike...it Is fun on the road.
I ride toward Meru and to climb Bukit Ramlee to put the bike to test. The climb is rutted due to the rain but I'm happy with the bike and the 19 inch front really helps in dodging the puddles and rocks.
Descend at around six PM and head for home via Jln Batu Arang/Bkt Jelutong.
Distance covered 150 km,time taken app 3 hrs.
